Tour Overview

Ssese islands is a collection of 84 islands on Lake Victoria with the 2 primary tourist Islands of Bugala and Banda. One may see the Vervet and Colobus monkeys, several bird species and numerous types of butterflies among other tourist attractions on the islands. Ssese islands is a hub for tourism activities which include birding, sportfishing, nature/forest walks, quad biking, canoe rides, island hopping, camping, barbeque and nightly bonfires, banana boat rides, among others. Some of these activities, we will enjoy during this trip.

Day one: Transfer from Kampala-Entebbe-Ssese Islands.

Drive from Kampala to Nakiwogo, to be in time for the 2:00pm MV Kalangala ferry to the Bugala Islands. Enjoy the fresh breeze as you sail on the world’s second largest freshwater lake; Lake Victoria that offers views of the numerous Islands, the beautiful white sand beaches along with a great number of water birds.

Day Two: Ssese Islands

Following a sumptuous breakfast at Pearl Gardens, you will have a nature walk on the Island while enjoying some birding, depending on what you prefer. In the afternoon, you may relax on the airy white sand beach and have a swim in the lake as well as sun bathe; take a canoe ride around other neighboring Islands or do some sport fishing. Then enjoy merrymaking around a campfire before dinner.

Day Three: Transfer to Kampala

After checking out of the accommodation, have mouth-watering breakfast and then return to the main land aboard a ferry and then take a guided drive back to the Capital, Kampala via The Reptile Village which is a home of several types of snakes, lizards, crocodiles among other reptiles.
